Bloomington police investigate deadly shooting at apartment complex

Police found a Bloomington man shot and he died at the hospital early Thursday morning.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Bloomington police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead at an apartment complex on the city's south side late Wednesday night.

Police say Thomas M. Pleasant, Jr., 28, of Bloomington, died at the hospital from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Police were called at 11:25 p.m. to the apartment complex in the 3200 block of South Walnut Springs Drive about a man shot in a parking lot. 

Officers located Pleasant and began CPR until an ambulance came and took him to IU Health-Bloomington Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:18 a.m.

Detectives are working to locate possible witnesses for interviews. They have not shared any information about suspects or what led to the shooting.
