BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Police in Bargersville are asking for help finding witnesses and additional evidence after a fight severely injured a man at a park Friday afternoon.
Investigators say between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 1, nearly a dozen young people drove to Kephart Park, near State Road 144 in Bargersville, and got into a fight.
Police said someone had a baseball bat, and at some point, a man identified as one of the kids' dads, got seriously hurt.
He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital with a severe head injury. No update has been given regarding his condition.
Police said they made one arrest for theft at the park, but more arrests are possible. Investigators said there is some cellphone video of the fight.
