At least 3 shootings in Indianapolis Saturday night into Sunday morning

Metro Police are investigating at least three shootings after a violent night in Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro Police are investigating at least three shootings after a violent night in Indianapolis.

A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a shooting at a party in the 3400 block of Monninger Drive on the west side just after 2 a.m. Sunday. No arrests have been made, but police hope witnesses will be able to help.

It's not clear yet what led to the shooting, but police say they're tired of people solving problems with guns.

"It was a busy night. Too many people are shooting each other. People need to find a better way to solve their problems than bringing handguns out," IMPD Capt. Michael Elder said.

About 30 minutes earlier, police found a man shot three times inside a car on Pershing Road. That's on the north side.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

No word yet on any arrests in that case, either.

A third shooting was reported on Cork Bend Road on the southeast side. An 18-year-old woman suffered a light graze wound on her back at a birthday party around 12:45 a.m. At least one bullet casing was found on the scene. No word yet what led to this shooting or if any arrests have been made.
