Arrest made in April deadly shooting of 19-year-old on Indy's near northwest side

A 26-year-old man is under arrest for the murder of 19-year-old Ivionte Campbell and aggravated assault of two others.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD arrested a 26-year-old man in the murder of 19-year-old Ivionte Campbell and aggravated assault of two others.  

The shooting happened in the 3400 block of Timbersedge Drive, near Guion and Lafayette roads, around 10 a.m. April 25.

Officers arrived and found three males who had been shot. IMPD confirmed one male died at the scene, and two other males were taken to hospitals, one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

The Marion County Coroner's Office later identified the man who died as Campbell.

As the investigation into the shooting continued, police said they identified the 26-year-old as a suspect. The suspect was found by the IMPD Violent Crimes Unit and the United States Marshals Service and arrested.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will now determine what charges the 26-year-old will face.
