ANDERSON, Ind. — Anderson police arrested a 16-year-old after he allegedly stabbed a man in a dispute over a stolen moped.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, Anderson Police Department officers responded to a local hospital to investigate the stabbing, The victim, a 21-year-old man, checked himself into the Emergency Room with a non-life-threatening laceration, police said.
"Preliminary details indicate that the victim was involved in a dispute with a 16-year-old juvenile over a stolen moped," an Anderson PD spokesperson said in a statement.
Officers then located a crime scene in the 900 block of West 10th Street, near Madison Avenue. Detectives located the suspect and took him into custody.
The Madison County Prosecutor's Office will make final charging decisions in the case.
