KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man has been charged with possession of child pornography after an investigation by Howard County Sheriff's Office.
Charles Chilcott, 72, faces 10 counts of the charge.
In September 2024, a sheriff's office investigator assigned to assist with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation. On Sept. 20, police conducted a search warrant at Chilcott's home.
"During the search warrant, investigators discovered a computer and hard drive containing thousands of images of child pornography from the ages of infants to teenage children," the sheriff's office said.
Chilcott was then arrested and is being held at the Howard County Criminal Justice Center. Online court records indicate a bail review hearing is scheduled for Oct. 1.
