INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD said it was called to a home near 10th and Tremont streets on the west side of Indianapolis Thursday night. Inside the home, police said they found a man shot and in critical condition. That victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At the same time, officers responded to a person shot at that home. Police reports show four people, including a 16-year-old girl, were arrested there for multiple preliminary felony charges, including dealing meth.
Court documents filed Friday show IMPD was granted a search warrant for that home and the trailer behind it Thursday afternoon. Police said they were searching for firearms and narcotics.
Once detectives serving the warrant heard a person was shot at the home, they immediately told officers on scene to detain the four suspects.
The probable cause affidavit shows police seized over 200 grams of meth, a handgun, shotgun, over $1,200 in cash and three sets of body armor.
Police have not made any connection between these drug and gun arrests and the homicide.
