INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD announced the arrest of a 26-year-old man Monday for his alleged role in weekend shooting that injured one person on Indianapolis' near south side.
The shooting was reported around 2 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 2200 block of Ransdell Street, near East Raymond Street and Madison Avenue.
Responding officers located a victim with a gunshot wound/s who was described as "awake and breathing."
In an update the next day, a department spokesperson announced the arrest, noting that "detectives believe [the suspect] and the victim knew each other."
No additional information on the circumstances of the shooting has been shared by police.
