INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after two men were killed and a third was injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' east side early Tuesday.
The shooting was reported shortly before 1 a.m. April 16 in the 2100 block of North Ritter Avenue, near East 21st Street.
An IMPD spokesperson said responding officers located three men with gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene and the third was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
In an update Tuesday morning, police said the third man was now described as "stable."
The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 38-year-old Michael A. Beck Jr. and 43-year-old David Antron Rogers.
"Detectives are looking into the possibility the homicides are self-defense," the spokesperson said. "Detectives also believe all parties involved are accounted for."
