INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after two people were injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' far east side Thursday.
Around 11:45 a.m. Aug. 22, officers responded to the 900 block of North Mitthoefer Road, just south of 10th Street, for a report of a person shot.
Officers located two people with gunshot wounds, and their conditions were described as "stable" when taken to local hospitals, a department spokesperson said.
"The involved victims were uncooperative with the investigation," the spokesperson said in a statement. "The victims are awake and breathing. At least one victim appears to have a graze wound."
The shooting did not occur at the location near Mitthoefer Road and 10th Street, police said, and a crime scene had not been located as of early Thursday afternoon.
