INDIANAPOLIS — Two Indianapolis men were federally indicted in a string of robberies committed between March 25 and April 8, 2022.
Donta Allen, 46, and Lance McGee, 32, both from Indianapolis, were indicted by a federal jury Friday, Feb. 9 on counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, interference with commerce by robbery, brandishing a weapon during a robbery, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
According to the indictment, Allen and McGee worked together to rob at least seven different stores around Speedway and Indianapolis. The duo robbed Disc Replay, GameStop and AutoZone stores across Marion County.
Allen allegedly wore a ski mask, covered his tattoos with makeup and pointed a gun at the store cashier demanding money. McGee allegedly served as the getaway driver and received a portion of the stolen funds.
Police say the two men had previous felony convictions, meaning they were prevented from legally having a firearm. Each man could face up to life in prison if convicted.
