INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting on Indianapolis' northwest side early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened shortly before 3 a.m. Oct. 15 near a strip mall in the 3900 block of North High School Road, near 38th Street.
Officers located two men at that scene who had been shot. Both were transported to local hospitals in critical condition, where one of them was later pronounced dead.
The deceased has since been identified as 35-year-old Jose Ismael Herrera Jacobo.
Around 30 minutes later, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 7100 block of Rockville Road, near North Girls School Road. There they located a male victim with a gunshot wound who was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
Investigators determined the victim was also shot in the incident on North High School Road.
The Marion County Coroner's Office will identify the man killed once family has been notified.
