INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD announced the arrest of a 19-year-old in connection with a deadly shooting on Indianapolis' west side earlier this month.
The shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. Saturday, June 8 in the 3800 block of West Michigan Street, near Holt Road, at the Maple Creek Apartments.
At the scene, officers located a man, later identified as 21-year-old Kiyon James William Davidson, on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to IMPD, there was some type of disturbance involving multiple people that took place in the parking lot of the apartments leading up to the shooting.
In an update June 21, IMPD said homicide detectives identified a person of interest and tracked him to a home in Gary, Indiana, a few days after the shooting. The suspect was taken into custody without incident in Gary on June 13.

Police have not said exactly what charge(s) the suspect may face.
