1 critically injured in northwest Indianapolis shooting

The shooting happened Tuesday around 7:20 p.m. in the 5500 block of West 43rd Street, near Moller Road.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a shooting that critically injured one person on Indianapolis' northwest side Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 5500 block of West 43rd Street, which is near Moller Road.

Officers responding to the scene found one person who had apparently been shot. Police believe the shooting happened on a nearby basketball court. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are trying to determine what preceded the shooting.
