1 critical after southwest Indy shooting

The shooting happened Sunday around 11:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Sandy Forge Drive, near Mann and West Mills roads.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating after a New Year's Eve shooting left one person critically injured on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 5100 block of Sandy Forge Drive, near Mann and West Mills roads, around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 31. 

The victim was last reported to be in critical condition.

Police have not shared information at this time about a possible suspect or motive.

Since midnight, there has been at least 10 shootings in Indianapolis as of early Monday morning.

This is an ongoing investigation.
