FORT WAYNE, Ind. — One person was killed and 10 more were injured after a shooting at a high school party in Fort Wayne Saturday night.
According to a release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, around 10:25 p.m. on Oct. 19, officers responded to the 4900 block of Manistee Drive, near Reed and Stellhorn roads, on the northeast side of Fort Wayne on a report of shots fired. Callers reported hearing shots and seeing people running in all directions.
Police arrived on scene as victims began arriving at local hospitals.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a high school party was happening when shots began to ring out. Several partygoers were struck by gunfire, and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a total of 11 people, including the deceased victim, were shot. The 10 other victims are said to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said it is unknown at this time how many suspects were involved with the shooting.
