INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting on the city's near east side Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to a report of person shot just before 1 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 1600 block of East Ohio Street, near Washington Street.
Officers arrived and found a man with at least one gunshot wound lying in the backyard of a home. Medics confirmed the victim died at the scene.
On Oct. 20, the victim was identified as 33-year-old Alejandro Sandoval. His manner of death was listed as a homicide.
Police have not shared what led up to the shooting, but detectives believe all involved parties have been identified.
