INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD arrested a man for his alleged role in a deadly shooting on the south side of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.
Osmin Martinez, 24, was taken into custody by officers "within hours," thanks to cooperation from witnesses, IMPD said in a statement.
Police did not say what charges Martinez may face. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office will make final charging decisions in the case.
Around 3 p.m. on Aug. 9, officers responded to an apartment complex in 4100 block of Continental Court, near East Hanna Avenue and South East Street, for a report of a person shot.
Police located a man, who has not been identified, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation.
