INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting on Indy’s east side Tuesday afternoon.
It was one of at least three shootings being investigated by IMPD Monday and Tuesday.
"It's unfortunate that we live in a time that people think it's OK to settle disturbances or disputes in the middle of daylight. Deadly disputes," IMPD Sgt. Anthony Patterson said.
Investigators said a man was shot and killed in the 4100 block of Brentwood Drive, near 42nd Street and Post Road, around 3 p.m. Oct. 10. He was later identified by the Marion County Coroner's Office as 21-year-old Kevon Bell.
Anyone with information about Tuesday's incident is asked to contact Detective Jose Torres at the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475 or email him at Jose.Torres@indy.gov.
Tips can also be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
One day earlier, police said two people were shot around 11 a.m. on the city's west side during an alleged shootout.
"They gonna do what they gonna do. You just got to stay out the way," said Larry Martin, who lives nearby.
One of the people shot Monday was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
