1 killed, 2 injured in early-morning shooting on Indy's west side

IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 7500 block of Rockville Road, near North Girls School Road, around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at an event center on the west side of Indianapolis Sunday night.

IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot at the Onyx Events Center in the 7500 block of Rockville Road, near North Girls School Road, around 12:15 a.m. Feb. 18.

Officers arrived and found a man at the back of the building with a gunshot wound. Medics arrived and pronounced the man, identified Feb. 19 by the Marion County Coroner's Office as 28-year-old Terrell Reese, dead at the scene.

Later, officers were alerted to a 32-year-old man who had arrived at IU Hospital West before being transported to Methodist Hospital. The man was reported to be in critical condition suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers then located a 21-year-old woman in a vehicle nearby the Onyx Events Center also suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was reportedly stable when transported to Eskenazi Hospital.

IMPD detectives say the shootings were all related.
