INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday night on the near east side of Indianapolis.
According to IMPD, just before 10:30 p.m. Oct. 19, officers were called to the 100 block of North Oxford Avenue, near East Washington and North Rural streets, on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found 38-year-old David Young shot. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
At this time, officers said they have not taken a suspect into custody, nor has anyone been detained.
