1 shot on Indy's near northeast side

The shooting happened Tuesday in the 2700 block of Adams Street, near North Keystone Avenue, around 2:30 a.m.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating a shooting on the city's near northeast side early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2700 block of Adams Street, just east of North Keystone Avenue, around 2:30 a.m. Jan. 2.

Police arrived and confirmed one person had been shot multiple times. IMPD initially said the person was in critical condition, but the victim is now said to be "stable."

Police have not shared information at this time about a possible suspect or motive.
