Indianapolis, May 21 - "I am innocent. That is all I got to say." David Drummond proclaimed his innocence even as a deputy walked him back to his jail cell.

The 33-year-old is already serving a 50-year sentence in connection with the death of his son. Six-month-old Caleb died in April 2001 from injuries.

A jury also convicted his father on a child molestation charge involving his son.

In court Friday morning, another sentence for a second molestation conviction. Judge Tonya Pratt ordered Drummond to serve another eight years.

"I am coming back on appeal. I will show my innocence. It don't matter."

"I am ashamed to say this is my brother," says Abby Smay. The second child molestation case involves Drummond's niece, Smay's daughter. "It's such a relief to know he is not going to be able to do anything during the period of time the judge gave him. I can't tell you the freedom I feel right now."

That freedom showed as Drummond's sister and niece hugged outside the courtroom. They support the judge's decision to add more prison time to on top of her brother's 50 years.

Drummond says his sister knows "it's a mistake. The prosecutors have forced crap into her head. It's ********. So it doesn't matter."

But Smay says, "Anybody that can go around and not feel guilty about something they have done has to have something seriously wrong with them."

Drummond insists he is not wrong and that eventually he will prove he is innocent.
