INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Fair unveiled another new attraction on Friday that fairgoers will be able to enjoy this summer.
On Friday, a new permanent splash pad was unveiled in the MHS Family Fun Park on the fairgrounds. Officials said it will promise an "unforgettable experience" for fairgoers and families.
The ag-themed, park-like splash pad will be open for this year’s fair and free for all with paid fair admission, according to a news release.
"The Splash Pad represents a new chapter in our consistent efforts to enhance the guest experience at the Indiana State Fair," Anna Whelchel, chief marketing officer, said. "We invite everyone to come and enjoy this exciting addition, creating memories that will last a lifetime."

The 2024 Indiana State Fair will run from Friday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 18, and will be closed on Mondays. Discount tickets are available now on the State Fair's website.
The fair has already announced a roster of acts coming for the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage this year.
And the food options are huge, from cinnamon toast crunch funnel cakes to pickle flavored beer (and the return of the pickle pizza—with a twist.)
The theme for this year's state fair is The Art & Nature of Fun, presented by Newfields.
"The art and nature theme reflects our commitment to bringing together the creativity of art and the wonders of nature to inspire and engage our visitors," Cindy Hoye, executive director of the Indiana State Fair, said in a statement.
