INDIANAPOLIS — The Salvation Army's Angel Tree helps brighten the holidays for thousands of children around central Indiana. But it wouldn't be possible without the donations of so many caring Hoosiers.
Each year, The Salvation Army asks for people to be sponsors for the children. That means shopping for children (angels) to provide toys and essentials from wish lists.
Registered parents will then be able to shop at the distribution event and select from the donated gifts for their children at no cost, take them home and wrap them for Christmas.
While the sponsorship has concluded for the season, The Salvation Army could still use donations to make sure all the families receive help. If you would like to donate to the Angel Tree Toy Shop, click here.
The Salvation Army said it also needs volunteer bell ringers. The money raised during the holiday season covers expenses for the entire year. Click here for more information.
