SPEEDWAY, Ind. — 500 Festival officials have announced the theme for this year's event season.
"Iconic Moments in Indy" will pay "tribute to the legendary moments and unforgettable memories that define the city, most evident throughout the unparalleled Month of May," the organization said in a press release.
The theme will appear in event programs and promotions associated with 500 Festival events.
Some of those programs include the annual Mini-Marathon, the milk ceremony on the Indy 500 Victory Podium, the AES 500 Festival Parade and more.
“We are thrilled to unveil the official theme for this year’s 500 Festival event season,” said Bob Bryant, president and CEO of the 500 Festival. “Indianapolis is home to the largest, single-day sporting event in the world and countless other world-class events, creating iconic moments and unforgettable memories that are forever engrained into our city. We are proud to honor all that Indianapolis has accomplished and will continue to accomplish in the future as a vibrant city and community.”
The 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 26.
