Indiana, June 12 (AP) - The remnants of tropical storm Arlene are headed for Indiana, prompting a flash flood watch for southern Indiana through Sunday evening.

The affected area in Indiana stretches from Madison to Jasper to Princeton south to the Ohio River.

The National Weather Service says bands of rainfall with a few embedded thunderstorms will spread into Indiana, with some of the rainfall heavy at times. It says accumulations of one to two inches are possible, with higher amounts possible in isolated area. The greatest threat for the heaviest rainfall will occur west of Interstate 65 during the afternoon and evening hours.

Arlene has been downgraded to a tropical depression that's forecast to be centered over southwestern Indiana tomorrow morning.
