INDIANAPOLIS — Stores are running sales like it is Christmas in July.
Target is running its Fourth of July sale now. Walmart Deals will run Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. ET through Thursday, July 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Amazon's Prime Days sales are July 16 and July 17.
Experts at NerdWallet say these are the products are good to buy in July:
- Summer clothing
- School supplies
- Personal electronics
- Patriotic items
On Nerdwallet's skip list are indoor furniture and lawn mowers. The site says, "July is not a great time to splurge on indoor furniture. New pieces tend to arrive in stores in the spring and fall."
The site RetailMeNot believes health and beauty products will also be discounted.
If you do need to do some shopping, make a list to avoid impulse purchases and start your price research now.
Google Shopping and the website Honey will both show prices ranges from high to low.
