INDIANAPOLIS — Settlement payments are going out in the mail to certain people who registered, used, opened or downloaded the Zoom Meetings app between March 30, 2016, and July 30, 2021.
The deadline to file a payment claim was March 5, 2022.
The payments are to settle a lawsuit in which plaintiffs allege, in part, that Zoom shared user information with third parties without authorization, and that Zoom misrepresented how they encrypt or protect information.
Zoom denies these allegations and denies any liability whatsoever, according to the claim site.
Digital payment links first went out from EpiqPay, however, those links expired Sept. 28, 2023.
Paper checks will go to people who requested that form of payment, and for those who did not claim their digital payment.
