INDIANAPOLIS — If you are a family looking to get out of the house, football games can be a fun option.
But different kinds of football games will cost different prices.
For four people, local high school games will run up to $10 a ticket. A $3.40 additional fee might also apply since most tickets, if not all, are bought online.
That brings the cost of your evening to $43.50.
Kids 5 and under are often free, and students may or may not pay, depending on the high school.
For the Indiana University vs. Purdue game in Bloomington, adult tickets start at $45, and kids 18 and under tickets are $20. The electronic fee is $10, bringing your total to $140. Free parking is available in Poplars and Hendericks garages, along with a shuttle.
13News found discounted IU tickets at Costco on County Line Road, but exclusions apply.
Butler University games are a little more budget-friendly.
To attend, it's $12 for adults and $8 for kids ages 3 to 12. Youth tickets are bought at the gate. Butler University also does not appear to charge an electronic fee.
Event parking is $15, bringing your total for a family of four to $55.
An Indianapolis Colts game is the most expensive option.
The cheapest non-resale tickets 13News could find are $65 a piece for the Dec. 22 game against the Tennessee Titans. That is $260 plus $53.75 in fees. Tack on $35 to park and the total comes to $348.85.
Depending on you team's success, tickets could be much cheaper on third-party sites. However, Ticketmaster Verified Resale fees can be more money.
If you want to eat or drink at any of the games, remember to budget more money.
