INDIANAPOLIS — Here's tonight's Consumer Catch-up:
Peacock coming to Fire Stick
If you have a Fire Stick and can't watch Peacock, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Peacock is finally set to land on Amazon's Fire TV on Thursday.
The NBC Universal streaming platform launched almost a year ago, but the company couldn't come to terms with Amazon over advertising revenue.
Now, just weeks before the Summer Olympics, the two have reached an agreement.
Trying on online
Instagram is testing virtual try-ons using augmented reality.
Users can get a feel for how products - like makeup or shoes - will look.
Instagram is also adding visual searches. You just tap an image of a dress you like and see similar products.
Frontier shifts on 'COVID recovery charge'
Frontier Airlines is saying nevermind about its "COVID recovery charge."
The airline introduced the $1.59 charge less than a month ago.
The Denver-based carrier had addled the per-flight fee in May to offset costs, including additional sanitation and cleaning on its aircraft and at the airport. The now-revoked surcharge was included in Frontier's total promoted fare, rather than an add-on fee, the airline said.
Venmo updates fees
The money transfer app is upping its instant transfer fee to 1.5 % instead of 1% and users who receive payments identified by senders as goods and services will be charged a seller transaction fee of 1.9% plus $0.10.
