Tokyo - Toyota says its president Akio Toyoda will speak to reporters in Beijing on Monday about the company's recent quality problems.
A company spokeswoman said Sunday that Toyoda, who testified at a U.S. Congressional hearing last week about the spate of global recalls plaguing Toyota Motor Corp., will be speaking at a Beijing hotel.
Toyoda was in Washington this past week meeting with Toyota dealers and facing questions from skeptical U.S. lawmakers over the company's recall of more than 8.5 million vehicles due to cases in which its vehicles sped out of control.
