Starbucks has responded to last year's red cup controversy with all the subtlety of an ice-packed snowball to the face.
A year after taking plenty of holiday heat for producing plain red cups to celebrate the season, the coffee giant unveiled this year's red cup designs - all ten of them.
Starbucks took input from creative coffee drinkers over the past year, asking for handmade designs to adorn this year's drinkware. The ten finalists come from all over the world, featuring classic and even slightly overdone wintertime images including snowy trees, reindeer, ornaments and Christmas lights.
To celebrate the correction of last year's gaffe, the chain is offering a "buy one holiday drink, get one free to share" promotion through Monday (November 14) from 2-5 p.m. each day (at participating stores).
So there you have it, coffee drinkers of the world. You got your wish.
Times ten.
Collect them all, it will be December 26 before you know it.
