SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WTHR) – Tom Carnegie’s booming voice still echoes for race fans, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is now selling a Carnegie-talking bobblehead honoring the late track announcer.

Commissioned in 2005 by Indianapolis Motor Speedway and produced by Exodus Promotions, the figures were sold during Carnegie’s 60th year as IMS lead public address announcer.

The talking bobblehead features genuine recordings of some of Carnegie’s most famous phrases, such as, “And heeeee’s on it!” and “It’s a newwww traaaack recorrrd!”

The Carnegie bobble head originally sold for $29.95 in 2005, but the Museum is selling non-autographed bobble heads on its eBay store and at the Museum welcome desk for $20 each.

A limited number of bobbleheads autographed by Carnegie are available for $35 each.

Carnegie worked at the Motor Speedway from 1946 through 2006. He passed away at age 91 in 2011.

All proceeds from the sales go to fund the museum’s operations.
