INDIANAPOLIS — Hispanic Heritage Month starts next month, but our partners at Yelp Indy want to celebrate a little early.
Yelp has launched their Cultura Club program which is a a series of free virtual events dedicated to highlighting Hispanic and Latinx-owned businesses around central Indiana.
All of the events below are free and open to all ages, you just have to RSVP.
1. Make mangonadas with Chile y Limón
What it is: A summertime sweet treat. It's a combination of mango sherbet, fresh mango, tajin (chili powder), chamoy (chili sauce), and a spicy tamarind candy straw.

What it is: This local yoga studio specializes in hot yoga (bikram) and will teach this class by sharing instructions in both English and Spanish.

What it is: A popular street food. It consists of sweet corn on the cob slathered in a spicy mixture of mayonnaise, cotija cheese, and chili powder.

What it is: A flat, round bread-like (gluten-free) patty. It’s made of cornmeal which is grilled or deep fried then filled with cheese, meats, fish, and/or veggies.
Where the influence is from: Venezuela

What it is: A language school that offers both virtual and in-person classes in twelve languages. They can also provide translators for any of your communication needs.
