Slide park to open its 1st Indiana location in Brownsburg

Slick City Indy West will be built at 4430 N. County Road 1000 E., near Crawfordsville Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway.

BROWNSBURG, Ind. — A new indoor slide park is officially coming to Brownsburg.

It's a family entertainment center called Slick City Indy West.

The indoor action park is basically a water slide park — without the water.

The attractions are for all ages and feature multiple slides with speeds and twists of varying heights, all indoors, all on dry slides.

There will also be food, drinks and sports courts at the park.

Slick City has several other locations nationwide – including Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Texas – and has numerous new franchises planned to launch over the next year.

The 42,000-square-foot facility will be the first Slick City in Indiana.

In a 4-0 vote, the town's Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously approved the franchisees' proposal Monday night.

The slide park will be at an industrial building near Crawfordsville Road, at 4430 N. County Road 1000 E.

"The average time to open from lease signing is around 10 months, and we know that the (franchisees) are extremely motivated to get the park open to the community as soon as possible," said Alex Benepe, vice president of franchising and business development for Slick City Action Park. "We're thrilled that the proposal was approved and look forward to supporting the design, construction and opening process for Slick City Indy West."
