INDIANAPOLIS — The music returns to the Jazz Kitchen on Nov. 9.
The popular jazz club and restaurant on the city's north side has been shuttered since mid-March due to the pandemic.
Owner David Allee said with coronavirus cases on the rise it is a little concerning, but he said they made the decision before the numbers began to climb.
"Since we're a live music venue, we had to plan it out," he said.
Allee acknowledged that many may still be apprehensive about sitting inside to see live music.
He said crews were installing air filters in the club's HVAC systems Thursday. Allee said the club would open at half capacity and, as a restaurant, it would continue to be table seating only. He said masks would be required when not eating or drinking and temperatures would be taken at the door.
Currently there are musicians scheduled through month's end.
