INDIANAPOLIS — Ray's Trash Service, a family-operated business since 1965, was purchased by Waste Management.
Details on the sale were not made available, but Waste Management sent 13News a release that said in part, "WM remains committed to providing the Indianapolis area with quality recycling and waste disposal services for years to come, with an emphasis on supporting the cultivation of community vitality and sustainable growth in the region."
Ray's currently provides trash and recycling services in 17 counties in central Indiana.
The statement from Waste Management also states:
We look forward to the integration and value that this acquisition will bring to expand and advance WM’s environmental services in central Indiana.
We are excited to welcome our new employees into the WM family and for the opportunity to provide exceptional service to our customers in the Indianapolis Market.
13News reached out to Ray's Trash Service for a comment on the sale and was referred to Waste Management.
No details on timing for the change over to Waste Management were released.
