INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Giordano's is hopping on the plant-based train and introducing the "Impossible Pizza" made with plant-based sausage.
The new dish will be available in all locations nationwide Tuesday. The restaurant paired its classic sausage recipe with Impossible meat. The Impossible meat is available in deep dish, thin crust and extra thin crust pizza.
The plant-based meat gives diners another alternative to meat, which can have a harsher environmental impact. Impossible meat uses 96 percent less land, 87 percent less water and 89 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than getting beef from cows, according to Impossible Foods. In addition, it is kosher, halal and gluten-free.
