INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHR) - Eyewitness News has confirmed Eli Lilly and Company is cutting nearly 500 jobs.
It comes after the failure of a drug for treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Of the 485 job cuts, 75 of those will come from Indiana.
The layoffs will start at the end of March.
This announcement comes one day after Lilly announced it was buying a Massachusetts company developing a new drug for treating migraines.
