Combi USA recalls stroller and car seat combo due to risk of fall

Combi's "shuttle travel systems" are under recall because the car seat, which fits inside the stroller, can come out, posing a fall risk.

CHARLOTTE (WTHR) - Combi USA has recalled a popular car seat and stroller combo because of a risk of the pair separating.

They are sold as a "shuttle travel system." The car seat fits inside the frame of the stroller to avoid the need to take the child out of the seat.

However, the car seat can disengage from the frame of the stroller and potentially fall, leading to the recall.

The strollers are car seats have a model number of 6100027 or 6100100 on the base of the car seat and the leg of the stroller.

The company says they are recalling the combo in two colors - titanium (silver) and red chili colors.

They say that both the car seat and the stroller can still be used separately.

If you have one of the travel system under recall, call Combi USA (844) 32-6730 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET weekdays. You can also visit their website about the recall here. Combi is offering a kit with additional straps that will help secure the seat inside the stroller.

The company says they are in the process of contacting customers who have registered their travel systems.
