(WTHR) — Less than a month after filing for bankruptcy and announcing store closures, Charlotte Russe has announced it will be coming back with 100 stores and online shopping.
In a news release, Charlotte Russe Holdings Corp. and its subsidiaries announced that they successfully sold the brand and intellectual properties to YM Inc., a North American fashion house.
"We are very excited Charlotte Russe will be joining the portfolio of brands at YM. This acquisition marries a beloved brand with a sophisticated retail platform and provides Charlotte Russe a path to grow in the future. We thank our loyal customers and employees for sticking by us through the past several months," said Dayna Quanbeck, interim CEO of Charlotte Russe, in a statement.
Charlotte Russe teased the "New Charlotte Russe" on social media.
This social media announcement comes less than a month after the brand had their "going out of business" sale and shut down all of their mall locations.
The announcement on social media is causing an uproar from past Charlotte Russe fans and former employees.
