INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) is set to host two Halloween-themed events on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The goal of these events is to help find forever homes for the shelter animals as well as promote safe trick-or-treating.
The first event is called "Find Your Boo" – and it is an adoption event that will feature free animal adoptions from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 28. While there is no cost to adopt a pet, IACS encourages donations. IACS also recommends that prospective adopters should review available animals and submit adoption forms online via its website prior to attending.
Later that afternoon, from 6–9 p.m., the shelter will host a "Trunk-or-Treat" event in the large building behind the shelter.
Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes to the events, but IACS suggests that large components or accessories to the costumes be put away prior to visiting with the animals.
IACS is also accepting donations via its Amazon wish list for those who are unable to attend the event but would like to help support the shelter.
