INDIANAPOLIS — With winter on its way you're going to be spending more time inside, and that means looking at your walls. Do they need an update?
Pat Sullivan, from Sullivan Hardware and Garden, is sharing tips on how to paint at home like a pro.
- Look at companion color sets to see what colors look good together for your home.
- Use a flat paint to hide imperfections on the wall.
- Stay away from glossy paints for chipped or damaged trims.
- Invest in a good quality brush as a bad brush can make good paint look bad.
- Tape off the trim with special tape (Ex. Frog Tape)
- Test for lead before sanding.
