INDIANAPOLIS — It's Mother's Day which means lots of gifts for moms around the country — and one of the most popular gifts is flowers.
Pat Sullivan with Sullivan Hardware and Garden joined 13Sunrise to share how you can maintain those beautiful flowers.
Here is some of Sullivan's best advice:
- Water your hanging flowers sparingly.
- The more soil supporting a flower basket, the less water it needs over time.
- If you're unsure when to water, get a moisture measure.
- Fertilize once a week.
- Trim your plants when they start to overgrow.
