Pat Sullivan's shady solution

Grass does not grow well under shady trees, so Pat Sullivan shows you an alternative.

INDIANAPOLIS — You probably are seeing some bare spots starting to spread on the grass under your shade trees. Pat Sullivan says that's because most grass needs at least four hours of sunlight per day to thrive. 

Instead of grass under shade trees, Pat recommends creating a mulch bed with shade-loving plants around trees instead.
