INDIANAPOLIS — One of Indianapolis' favorite holiday traditions is returning this year.
The Eiteljorg Museum is hosting its 15th annual "Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure," running from Nov. 16, 2024 through Jan. 20, 2025.
The Eiteljorg Museum has hosted "Jingle Rails" since 2010. With more than 1,200 feet of track, the model railroad features a network of trains and scenes of Indianapolis and America's west. The entire display was created out of all-natural materials, such as tree bark, pinecones, seed pods, acorns and other woodsy components, and are designed and built by the botanical architecture team at Applied Imagination in Alexandria, Kentucky.
“Visiting 'Jingle Rails' during the holiday season has become a cherished tradition for many Hoosier families. The stunning backdrops inspired by our Western national parks, along with the circling model trains and miniatures of iconic Indianapolis landmarks, promise to delight visitors of all ages,” said Kathryn Haigh, Eiteljorg Museum President and CEO. “For those experiencing 'Jingle Rails' for the first time, the incredible creativity and artistry of this beloved attraction are sure to leave a lasting impression. There truly is nothing else quite like it in Indiana.”
Museum officials said the model railroad will be open late on certain dates so families have more opportunities to experience it and the museum. And new this year — a Madam Walker Theatre was added to the railroad backdrop, and the event lineup is filled with more "Jingle Rails" programs.
The museum is offering $2 discount tickets online, with admission included, before the event starts. To claim your discounted ticket, click here. Full price tickets are also available at the door.

The Eiteljorg Museum, including Jingle Rails, will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
