WESTFIELD, Ind. — Two Indianapolis Colts players tried a new venture during their days off — working at Dairy Queen.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson and running back Jonathan Taylor stopped by the location in Westfield Tuesday, Oct. 15 to promote the fast food chain's new "Sauced and Tossed" chicken strips.
The two put on quite the show as Taylor tossed the strips to Richardson while he sauced them in front of a group of surprised fans.
They handed out several batches of chicken strips in the honey BBQ and garlic parmesan flavors. While handing them out, Richardson told the crowd that the parmesan garlic was one of his favorites, while Taylor said he liked the honey BBQ.
"We're here at DQ today to not only interact with the community, but also show and promote the new DQ product, the 'Sauced and Tossed' chicken strip basket," Richardson said. "For me, I know after a big game, this is a place I love to come and celebrate not only with just myself, but my family/friends, so shoutout to DQ."
"Good sauce is going on DQ," Taylor said. "Shoutout to them for allowing us to come collab with this and have a great time and interact with the supporters and the fans out here."
Just one hour before kickoff at Nissan Stadium, Richardson was designated as inactive, which came as a surprise to many on hand. Taylor was also out, missing his second straight game.
The Colts are 3-3 on the season and will host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 20.
