INDIANAPOLIS — Fans got to witness a beautiful moment at Victory Field that was decades in the making this weekend.
The Indianapolis Indians held a special wedding ceremony Saturday night for 77-year-old Jack Crist and 78-year-old Jan.
The two were best friends in high school and Jan was Jack's "biggest supporter" at his high school baseball games. They graduated together in 1964 from Gardena High School in California.
Jack attended Los Angeles Harbor College and was soon after selected by the Atlanta Braves in the third round of the 1966 MLB Draft.
Jack and Jan each started their own respective families after high school and naturally lost touch.
However, they reconnected last fall after being apart for nearly 60 years.
The happy couple tied the knot before the Indians game against the Columbus Clippers.
