What's Cooking: Wagner's in Oldenburg

The fried chicken at Wagner's hasn't changed in 50 years and neither have the vessels they use for frying.

OLDENBURG, Ind. (WTHR) - Wagner’s is in Oldenburg, about an hour east of Indianapolis. This second-generation business has been in the same location for 50 years.

It's famous for its fried chicken, and the secret might just be the cast iron skillets that are as old as the sign out front.

“If you came in here 50 years ago or 20 years ago, the chicken is going to taste the same as it did the first time you ever came in because we have never changed the recipe," said owner Ginger Saccomando.
